Khagan means "Khan of Khan's", and boy, do we think this boy is living up to his name. Not only is this guy covered from topknot to toes in a rich brown fleece, he is bright, dense, and uniformly fine and full of crimp across his blanket. Set on a compact, conformationally correct frame, Khagan is a herdsire in the making, and we could not be more pleased with how he is growing. His dam is Shahkell, who produces some of the most consistent fleeces on our farm, leaving her fibre always feeling wonderfully soft in it's handle. Bocelli, his sire, consistently produces long, bright staples and heavy fleece weights— and between the pair, longevity of fineness is something we expect to see in Khagan's future. Temperament wise, Khagan is friendly and quick to learn, but very much of a spitfire amongst his herd mates. We are very pleased to report that we're not the only one's admiring Khagan, with him having been awarded Reserve Grand Champion to the gorgeous male who went on to win Supreme Champion overall at the A.L.P.A.C.A. Spring Show! 2023- Khagan's first cria are now on the ground, and wow!

Zoya is a robust, correct, and just all around good looking female who bears a strong resemblance to her late, great grandfather General Ledger. Her pedigree reads like a wish-list of great progenitors, with Hemingway, Caligula, Pistachio, Purrumbete's Ledgers Dream and NGG Lionel topping the list.
As a whole, she displays a very pleasingly soft handle on the abundance of mocha-fawn fleece that she produces. Not lacking in the coverage department, her usable fleece extends into the upper leg and well into her neck, and is a pleasure to work with.
Zoya is proving herself to be an excellent dam and aunty, with an abundance of milk and plenty of mothering ability. She has a stubborn streak, but is absolutely sweet and is popular for PR work, especially with children. She produced a lovely little male in 2018, with whom it is evident that her substance of bone, minimally-fading colour and coverage runs true.

Description

The boy curse has been broken! After 2 years of nothing but male cria, Zoya and Khagan have produced an exciting dark fawn female who is even better than we hoped for! Presenting a very fine, very soft fleece with length across the blanket, into the neck and upper legs to spare, K2 is already showing indications that she may be capable of carrying forward her sire's production abilities in both length, and hopefully, density. A higher frequency, higher amplitude crimp style (courtesy her dam, Zoya) uniformly carries throughout her blanket into her underbelly, neck, and upper leg. She is compact, solid, balanced, and just very pretty to look at, I look forward to seeing how she continues to mature.
