We purchased this Houdini breeding several years ago, but a few attempts didn't work out, so we took one of our favorite producers, Petra out for the breeding. Once and done, Petra came home pregnant and had a completely problem free pregnancy - and delivery. We knew this one would be white, or would have been surprised if he wasn't! What surprised us on the day we tipped him was the huge extra folds of skin on his neck and shoulder area. This boy is going to be DENSE! He is built like a little Sherman Tank. Standing shorter than the other crias born at the same time, this guy has at least 20 or more pounds on them! He stands solid as a rock. Each time his Juvie fleece was shown in 2016, it did better than the last ending the season with 2 firsts and a championship. He also won 2 youth championships in 2016 at PAOBA and MAPACA. He was selected to represent the alpaca industry in PA at the 2017 PA Farm Show where he and his youth handler met Governor Wolf! Mike has a few girls confirmed pregnant in the fall of 2020. We sadly lost Mike to an unresolved issue with kidney stones. He was always one of my favorite alpacas, kind to humans and alpacas, never a problem and always willing to endure my hugs. Luckily, 2 of the breedings we did produced offspring after Mikey's passing. Always in my heart - R.I.P. Magic Mike.

This girl gets her tall beauty from her mother. All the animals that she has produced have had the most exquisite soft buttery fleece and Shirl is no different. Even the fiber that came off her neck on her Juvie shearing was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to work with it! Shirl has remained a favorite. Her first cria in the fall of 2021 proved to be just as lovely as herself. Our one and only female cria out of our beloved Magic Mike that we lost in 2021. Both girls are absolutely what I am breeding for in fleece. Shirl's second cria, the last out of our Spotted boy XXXtreme Spots was a solid girl with the crimpiest fleece this year.

We had quite a decision to make when picking a dam to breed to 13x CH and Judge's Choice Man of Steel. While we didn't get gray, we did get a gorgeous med fawn boy with unbelievable fleece. The pictures don't do it justice, but the shine on this fleece was blinding. I think the taupey color on his nose indicates that the gray is lurking right under the surface. Hercules is developing into an extremely macho male who has started breeding with much success. He is small in stature, but is probably one of the most confident young males that we have. June 2023 we welcomed Hercules' first cria. The fleece looks amazing! One more was born in 2024 and her fleece is voluminous! 2025 - even his 6th fleece is impressive. We really love this compact fleece machine!
