Just back from the 2016 AOA National show in Washington DC and September's spin-off entry took first place! In a 2 and older class, his fleece was his 6 yo fleece! Fiber stats for 2016 will be coming soon! Mention his spin-off win and get a $750 breeding! 2015 Fiber Stats now in! This is the type of fleece we are striving for. At 69 MONTHS, September is sporting a 20.2 micron fleece with a 98% comfort factor. We had the amazing opportunity to purchase this awesome boy in a retirement sale from a local farm. I had always admired him from afar and seen some of his cria and was impressed with all of them. Even at nearly 7 years of age, he is exhibiting the qualities that you want to see in an older animal. His fleece is still retaining it's fineness and beautiful crimp structure along with some impressive density. His ARI sports a who's who of the alpaca world. And if disposition is important to you, this guy ranks right up there with the most mannerly gentlemen that have ever lived on my farm. We proudly own September with our friends at Alpacas of York. We first acquired Jasmine's daughter Venus. We liked her so much that I said if she was ever for sale, I would buy her. Sadly with the passing of Alan Clark, we were able to do this. Jasmine's first cria was a gorgeous MSG female out of super fine and dense Lancaster's Silver Centaur. She is better known as the Dam of the 10x (or more) Gray Champion Quixotic's Man of Steel. Her daughter Venus who we are lucky enough to own is a full sister of the Dam of Man of Steel. On our farm, Jasmine has given us 2 (so far) amazing cria. Neither one has a guard hair on them and the MOST buttery soft fleece. 6/15 - Jasmine just gave us a tall handsome LF male cria out of AOV Accoyo Flashback. Just lovely! 5/17 - Jasmine gave us an almost carbon copy of her 2015 cria, but this one has girl parts. She is out of our lovely boy September. 10/20 - Jasmine gave us a loudly spotted female from our herdsire XXXtreme Spots. Jasmine has earned her well deserved retirement and now lives with her sweet daughter Daisy.

We were trying for a harlequin when we bred our Black Warrior (Black Epic line) to a friend's harlequin female. While he didn't come out a harlequin, he is a smoky bay black which leads me to believe that he will gray out like his mother was. We also think there is a good chance he could pass on his mother's harlequin genes. We can't wait to try. His cria fleece was nearly 5" long so it was hard to tell how much structure he will have in his next fleece, but what was next to the skin was pretty impressive. This is one really lovely boy! Spring of 2023 - he bred his first female so we are looking forward to next spring to see what he can produce for us. Update - Spring 2024 - we got the cutest little Appy girl! Not expected but very happy about the results.
