Golden One is an elite breeding Vicuna type stud - he has a heavy wool cap and very dense fine fleece. As a four year old his micron count rivals that of most cria. Snowmass Alpacas, known for their outstanding fleeces and breeding program. treasured him enough to infuse his Macusani and Sollocota genetics into their herd. Julie Skinner notes that Golden One rivals the renowned Chaccu (now standing stud at Crescent Moon and Derwydd) in fine fleece density. We have never touched an alpaca with density that comes close to Golden One's. Visitors to our ranch routinely pick out Golden One as a favorite for his amazing fleece and regal presence. The show judges love him too - winning every class he entered. Here's what the owners of Golden One offspring are saying. Tilly Dorsey of DAFI Alpacas in Maryland says about her Golden One daughter Demeter: "She really is a lovely girl. She has beautiful fleece." Denise Reiling of Reiling Ranch Alpacas says about her Golden One son: "We are absolutely thrilled with our Golden One cria, we would breed back to him in a heartbeat." Wisconsin Alpacas says about their Golden One daughter: "Taking after her sire, Snowmass Golden One, WA Menominee has very fine fiber measuring 16.4 microns at her first shearing. Menominee has very good crimp and density. Her conformation is excellent and she loves human contact." We are offering only 3 outside breedings to Golden One in 2010 - book your breeding early to infuse these rare and fine fleece genetics into your herd. This guy is a Senior male, but his latest cria are the best we have seen to date. Don't underestimate the value of these genetics! Stud fee special only for booking made by 12/15/2010

Blue Gate Mimosa is showing amazing character in her light fawn fleece. Mimosa is the product of crossing Snowmass Red Hot Cognac with Valorie, one of our best production dams. You can read about Cognac on his herdsire page on our site. He is a product of some of the finest dark color blood lines in the elite herd at Snowmass Alpacas. We have been very pleased with his offspring to date. Two of his sons finished 1st and 2nd in their juvenile brown male class in Louisiana. His two daughters born this fall as good or better than those two boys. Mimosa's dam Valorie has produced several outstanding cria for us, all ribbon winning, including a couple of color championships. Valorie is the daughter of Royal Peruvian Valor, a little known but outstanding son of Accoyo Royal Fawn. We liked the combination of Cognac with Valorie so much that we are sure to repeat this breeding. Mimosa produced a fabulous female cria sired by of Snowmass Red Hot Cognac. We have waited several years to try this genetic combination and we are immensely pleased with the result. We are trying this cross on several other females to see if we can continue the magic. As Mimosa has matured she has developed very nice size while maintaining a lovely fleece character. She is an excellent brood dam. We have four of her sisters in our herd so we can part with her at a reasonable price without losing her genetics. Take advantage of a great opportunity to add some fine fleece genetics to your herd. At this price, a breeding is NOT included. However we will offer her buyer a discounted breeding to any solely owned Blue Gate herd sire.

RobAsia's Albus

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 32194791DOB: 8/30/201113 yrs
NEWS: SKIN BIOPSY RESULTS COMPLETE Dr. Evans "Albus highest S/P ratio ever tested to date" He has an S/P Ratio of 21.25! We are pleased to announce our partnership with our friends Joanna and Rob Stephens of RobAsia Alpacas. We share ownership is a fantastic young male with amazing potential - RobAsia's Albus. We have been very selective in purchasing breeding males for our herd. For us to purchase a white male meant he had to meet and exceed any of all of our expectations for powerful genetics, excellent fleece characteristics proven with hard data, and great conformational traits. We studied him on paper, looked and fleece samples, and then traveled to Wisconsin to see him in the flesh. We made our decision with no hesitation. Genetics: Albus is sired by Snowmass Quechua's Quest. Quest is an amazing combination of two powerhouse lines in the Snowmass herd, Snowmass Star Quest (Augusto line) and Snowmass Quechua (multiple herdsire of the year). Albus' dam brings just as much to the table with her Snowmass Invincble and Accoyo Caligula in her portfolio. A secret ingredient in Albus is the appearance of arguably, the most influential female in the Snowmass herd, Snowmass Maree Love on both the top and bottom of Albus' pedigree. Fleece: Beautiful! We studied his fleece samples, saw his show fleece from his last shearing, and studied his fleece on body. The hand on Albus' fleece is among the best we have touched. The character and crimp in the fleece is consistent from top of his head to his tail. Check out fiber stats. Awesome histogram on third shearing! Conformation: Albus is upright, straight, and demonstrates strong bone structure. His photos tell the story. Albus now has cria on the ground with our partner farm in Wisconsin - they are reportedly the best cria born at RobAsia. We have confirmed pregnancies here in Texas with the first cria due in early November. He is standing at Blue Gate from November 2015 until May 2016. Limited outside breedings to approved females. Females confirmed bred to Albus available for sale.

Description

Blue Gate Chrysanthemum (Chrissy) is a lovely medium to dark brown female sired by our elite and rare Golden One out of Blue Gate Mimosa, a daughter of Snowmass Red Hot Cognac. The combination of rare genetics in this female makes her an excellent outcross to practically any male. She has lovely fleece and an upright conformation along with the compactness of her sire. She is a bit fine boned in the legs, but breeding to the right male should address that issue in her offspring. She has a very attractive classic huacaya head.
