A standout in our 2022 cohort his growth and quality have continued to impress. He has us extremely excited! Conformationally, this male is sound, with excellent substance of bone, balance, and correct aspects to each part of his attractive frame. His fleece is equally impressive; highly advanced and productive. The density, staple length, and uniformity of the fibers across his body are highly aligned, matched with great brightness, along with a wonderful soft handle. His fleece is getting better with age. With the quality genetics behind him, these traits are only expected. Sired by Red Granites Alydar By Val D Lsere (co-owned with Tierra Prometida Alpacas), a Supreme Champion & Futurity Judges' Choice winner who has won 40+ Championship banners and 10 Judges' Choice awards - he stands as the most decorated grey huacaya in the United States, possibly the world. Out of Red Granites Popcorn, a Judges' Choice-winning, appaloosa female at her first and only show. She is sired by Snowmass Matrix Belvedere and is out of our black foundation female Secret Passion, making Popcorn a maternal sister to our 2023 Futurity Black Male Color Champion & Judges' Choice winner; Red Granites Pascal By Val D Lsere (co-owned with Sugarland Alpacas). Pendragon's first two crias arrived in 2025. A classic grey male out of a classic grey dam, and a dark brown with black points out of a true black dam - we couldn't be more pleased. Density, brightness, and an abundance of high-frequency crimp is something we see in both, even under their bellies!

Crescent Moon's Chelliza is by FIR Cove Cisco Kid and out of Crescent Moon's Chellina, who is a Crescent Moon's Kryptonite daughter. This girl is loaded with incredible BLACK genetics. She is maintaining her fineness. In 2021 at 8 years, 11 months, and 3 days her fleece tested at 24.5 microns with a 5.7 SD. Those are pretty amazing numbers for an 8 year old but as a BLACK they are extremely good numbers. So far, Chelliza has blessed us with three amazing black daughters, all by different studs. Her 2014 daughter, Red Granites Chiloquin. Chiloquin is the dam of our 14-time champion male, Red Granites MR Coranado. Her 2017 daughter, RGR Celebration By MR Sizlin Rose (Bay Black) sold to Sundancer Alpacas in 2019! Her 2019 daughter, Red Granites Chesapeake By Tennyson (True Black) ranks in the Top 1% in mean staple length in the 2021 EPDs. Her staple length is extremely impressive for being a black.
