We had quite a decision to make when picking a dam to breed to 13x CH and Judge's Choice Man of Steel. While we didn't get gray, we did get a gorgeous med fawn boy with unbelievable fleece. The pictures don't do it justice, but the shine on this fleece was blinding. I think the taupey color on his nose indicates that the gray is lurking right under the surface. Hercules is developing into an extremely macho male who has started breeding with much success. He is small in stature, but is probably one of the most confident young males that we have. June 2023 we welcomed Hercules' first cria. The fleece looks amazing! Can't wait to see how he progresses.

Hope is just that - she was our last hope for a girl the year she was born. Finally after the birth of 6 boys, we finally got one with indoor plumbing! Hope is everything we knew she would be - a breeding with our best girl + our best guy = fantastic! Hope does have a brown spot on her shoulder so she should be able to produce color when bred to color. We've worked hard to achieve our white breeding program and it's paying off with crimp and density along with some of the best and the straightest conformation I've seen. Hope is worth a look if you want to breed for quality white animals. Hope gave birth to her first cria in October 2013. She's the cutest little pip and we just love her as much as mom. We were thrilled with her 2016 shearing. One of the longest staples we sheared - just lovely structure and crimp. Hope was bred to Rosehaven's Diablo in 2014 after we saw what he produced last year. That produced a white male with some of the finest fleece I've seen on the farm. He just had his first shearing so it will be fun to see how he develops over time. Oct 18 Update: Hope gave birth to what I think is our cutest baby ever. He's med fawn with the biggest eyes. He is out of Black Warrior. His personality is to die for - friendly and curious. My favorite of the year! Pics coming soon. November 2020: Hope gave birth to a white male with perfect conformation and what looks like it will be amazing fiber. His 2023 shearing provided us with the heaviest fleece in our herd. Spring 2023 - Hope delivered a white boy with what looks to be great fleece (again) out of our boy Hercules. Hope would make a great animal for someone starting a small herd. As we are trying to slim down our herd, we have lowered her price - get at least another baby or two out of her - she is an absolutely great mother.

Description

Our first cria out of Hercules did not disappoint. Fine bundles from the start and a sweet disposition. When he was born, he had a very loose leg tendon which we splinted for about 2 weeks. The result was amazing. Perfectly straight leg with absolutely no sign of any impairment. Skippy has been used by 4H'ers since he was a juvie and does an incredible job. Easy to handle and bidable. But as he ages, he gets more and more handsome and has an amazing presence. We are working toward a spotted herd, but he would be my choice to put on those spotted girls down the road.
