HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White, Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 35160267DOB: 7/31/20195 yrs
Wesley has a proud stature in a good frame with strong bones. If you like flashy, stop here! His conformation is spot on and his looks are typey. His markings are striking with spots, a mask, and a grey background. His fiber is crimpy across his body on a nice staple and architecture. With his sire's pedigree stacked in grey and his dam's heritage leaning towards spots, we think he would fit nicely in either program.Grab him at this sale price before we see how he produces and we consider raising his price! His background is grey all the way on his deceased sire's side and so we kept him though we had been moving out of our appaloosa program. With his fiber style and solid line from his grey sire, we figured we would give a try -- however, we just have too many grey offspring considering the ratio of stud to dam in our grey program is more line 2:1! We even have one proven and one junior roan (used to be called modern grey). So, long story short, he only managed one breeding last year -- to Imitation, our last appaloosa dam that has been sold as we move completely out of 'spots'. Therefore, though we don't have witness or breeding for his grey genetics expression yet, we have decided to make a move to reduce herdsires. Wesley is available at a very affordable price in hopes he will find a good home in a fancy, spotted, appaloosa or grey program.

Imitation

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Fawn, Light Brown
AOA# 32157505DOB: 9/2/201113 yrs
A strong pattern history and still loaded in Peruvian / Accoyo heritage! Fine, crimpy, dense fiber.... And she's a great mom, and a proven producer of color and pattern. Imitation produced a solid color when bred to solid, in our cute as a button "Not Just a Girl" -- a MB 2015 female sired by Peruvian Black Jag. NJAG is in our foundation herd as we tease out her black genetics ;). Then, she produced her appaloosa girl, Firefly, sired by our appaloosa herdsire Jacob. She is already special with her strongly delineated dark brown, almost bay black, spots all over her white/beige backround. We predict that she will retain her clear spotting --just like her sire, Jacob -- rather than muting into a harlequin grey. That is exactly what we were breeding for! Firefly has sold to a farm interested in appies and we hear she is already bred to a harle male for her 2021 cria! The next year, Imitation produced a full sister to Firefly who is so close in appearance that you might think they were twins. The same dark spots, the same cute nose button marking and brown feet. Constellation is sold and well on her way to making her own 'mark' at her new farm! Imitation produced a beige male by our black Maelstrom, but OMG is his fiber fine, shiny, crimpy, dense, long -- you name it and he has it! We cannot help but think how this boy wold fit very nicely in a harlequinn / appy program since he has both appy and black genetics. His name is Star Dune and is available for his own herd. Imitation had a beautiful LB boy with a matching impressive headstyle to his sire, Major General. Gentry has been to a couple of shows now and managed to hold his own in tough classes, winning 2nd at both the 2023 AOA National Show and at the 2023 GWAS. We are considering adding him to our herdsire row. As her last cria, in 2022, she produced a LB /LRG male from our modern grey, LibertyAlpacas's Magistrate (co-owned with Liberty) that we named Hologram. We are watching his fiber develop and have high hopes! Now she is bred to Wesley -- the masked herdsire that may be in the 'grey' category but leans heavily towards spots.

Description

Willowwind' Shimmer is a beautiful tuxedo silver grey with brightness galore. He crosses exquisite tuxedo genetics with pattern genetics - a very interesting combination!! His sire, AutumnSun's Wesley is a blue-ribbon winning son RNC Steel Fox, who descends from Neversummer's US Steel and Janus' Grey Fox of Granite Bay. Janus' Grey Fox of Granite Bay is son of Snowmass Sterling Legend, an ultra-fine and dense World Fleece Show Champion in 2009. He now resides in Austria with SIGAMA Alpaka GbR. His dam, Imiatation, is a banner winning females who comes from strong pattern history and is loaded with Peruvian and Accoyo heritage. Most notably, she descends from Hannahruh. Shimmer has density ++ with great style and character in his fleece. A very supple, soft handle to it as well. He is also fine and uniform. Impressive staple as well.
