Welcome Red Granites Pallaton to our herd! Purchased at the Amber Autumn Auction, Pallaton has grown into a beautiful male. From Reserve Champion at his 1st Canadian Show to Supreme Champion at his 2nd show. Pallaton was able to settle a few females easily at 2 years of age. The temperament on this boy is stellar and so is his fleece. High frequency super fine consistent fleece on a mid sized perfect frame. What more could you ask for? How about producing black? Yup, Pallaton's first cria was black! We are very pleased with the offspring that Pallaton has sired. His offspring from 2021 are some of the best produced here at KJ Alpacas. Update 2025 : At the Alpaca Ontario Spring Show, Pallaton's Kanyon Alyst was awarded, at 45 months, the Reserve Color Champion (male) Grey. His excellent fineness and crimp for his age, as well as the uniformity and density of his fleece, were the characteristics that enabled him to stand out from the crowd and win this title. At first glance, Pallaton's Kanyon Alyst is a breeding male, whose the excellence of these phenotypes is more than obvious. What's more, this one is Rouan. When you look his fleece, she is dense, fine, even, soft with a good crimp. In the words of judge Robin Nasemann, "It is the global package". This earned him the Color Champion result at the Alpaca Quebec 2024 competition. What can I say about his genetic background. Son of Red Granites Pallaton, who was Canadian Supreme Champion in his second appearance, and son of Amber Autumn Trisha who was 1st Place Bred & Owned Female - TXOLAN February 2017. These characteristics and his pedigree make of Kanyon, a choice male for our color breeding program. We look forward to seeing his futur offspring in 2025.
