All we can say is Wow! Scepter has been showing an outstanding phenotype with extraordinary coverage & amazing head since he was first dry. His fleece is incredible as well. Pairing Ringmaster over our Pure Passion daughters we expected beautiful offspring, but Scepter is the cherry on top! He repeatedly overcomes each new expectation we have for him. These genetics continually produce champion after champion! His dam is a powerhouse of genetics as well! Estates Passion for Kandi is a Snowmass Pure Passion daughter. She has FIVE traits in the Top 5 or 10% for 2023 EPDs. Passion was the pinnacle of fawn breeding for Snowmass Alpacas. He embodies everything you want in a herdsire. At 16 he still carries incredible crimp style & density with a very fine, uniform fleece. Plus, his phenotype & coverage are as impressive as many yearling show alpacas. At 15.5 years of age his histogram had a 21.8 AFD, 4.0 SD, 51.7 CRV, & a 96.6% comfort factor. He is still producing champions! Scepter’s maternal grandsire is Judges Choice, 7x champ & 5x get of sire winner, Patagonia’s Ernesto. This line crossed with Ringmaster also produced our champion Regal Prince. Notable ancestors include champions Patagonia’s Lennox & Nisho. Scepter is clearly displaying the traits that are associated with his pedigree. He has a stout, square frame with great chest capacity, a straight top line & legs & appropriate testicle size/shape. His coverage, stance & head are exceptional. He has a perfect bite & easy-going but macho personality. His fleece has a uniform & consistent high frequency crimp style through an extended blanket area. It displays superior density, extreme brightness, very soft handle & is very fine, with excellent uniformity of micron. The primary to secondary population ratio is very low & comparison of primary to secondary fiber micron is also very similar. All these traits extend down into his belly.
