"This male is something special, an honor to be judging him." - 2018 AOA National Show after winning his third Supreme Championship. 27-time Get of Sire Winner, 2X Herdsire of the Year & 4X Herdsire of the Year Dark-Colored Offspring In the thoroughbred industry, it's often said that you breed the best to the best and then hope for the best. That certainly wasn't the case when Red Granites Val D Lsere took out the Dark Male Supreme Champion award at the AOA National Show for three consecutive years in a row -- all the ingredients were there for a born champion recipe, and they were expertly combined and brilliantly presented. Red Granites Val D Lsere is ONE IN A MILLION. Our first ever alpaca to reach vicuna fine fleece at 13.9 microns with intense curvature at 64.6, making profound impressions in the huacaya breeding programs in his first breeding years, and will continue for many more years to come, he is the TRUE definition of the ideal huacaya. His fleece has been described numerous times by international judges as the most highly developed fleece they have ever seen. Val D Lsere and his successes make him one of the most successful alpacas in US history and judges have said he is the best they have seen. He has a very bright, extraordinarily dense, fine fleece with a merino-type crimp style. Val is a very compact male with a very strong heavy bone structure. All of these traits are being seen in his offspring. He rapidly rose to a legendary level and is, without a doubt, one of the most significant alpacas ever to be born at Red Granite Ranch and possibly in the US, and is one of the most highly decorated alpacas in the world. Val D Lsere is truly revolutionary for the next generation of Huacaya fleeces and genetics. He has produced colors all across the spectrum, including rose and silver-grey. He has already produced AOA National Champions & Futurity Champions. He is shown to be EXTREMELY POTENT with producing top-quality animals no matter the color of the offspring or dam. If you get your hands on his genetics do not let go of them, they are PRICELESS. Offspring have sold for auction at high prices of $40K, $41K, and even $130K!! Considering only two of his offspring lay outside of the US, his lines are extremely favorable here in the US, so if you get a hold of his genetics do not let them go! Fiber and Fleece Description EXQUISITE in all respects. Merino and Vicuna's qualities are pushed together. Red Granites Val D Lsere is the Herdsire who is dominating the New Generation. He is a restricted herdsire, no outside breedings are offered. Offspring may be offered at auction or through private sales (on very rare occasions). 2022 #1 National High Point Huacaya Male 2022 #2, #7, & #8 National High Point Huacaya Female 2023 #10 National High Point Huacaya Female, Halter 2023 #3, #4, & #10 National High Point Huacaya Male, Fleece

Little Carmela

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 32431360DOB: 6/15/201311 yrs
We bought this gorgeous female from Lynn Edens back at the 2014 Amber Autumn Auction auction and haven't looked back since! She produces produced only the best quality, seed stock, animals we carry at Red Granite Ranch. We love the fineness, excellent uniformity, and super high frequency crimp style in the fleece of this lovely fawn female. And she carries it on a beautifully proportioned, well-sized frame. Best of all, this daughter of Lancaster's Highland Chieftain and granddaughter of both Lancaster and NM Beethoven has outstanding potential to produce rich dark color with the fineness and uniformity we seek in white. Her 2018 daughter sired by Val D Lsere sold for $40,000 at the 2020 Amber Autumn Auction to a Belgium breeder with an eye of success. She was a 4x Judges' Choice winner and 12x Champion winner. Her 2019 son also sired by Val D Lsere was the 2021 Futurity White Male Color Champion and has one of the most high developed fleeces from Val D Lsere. Description

This male comes from generation after generation of pure excellence... Colo Lsere is by Red Granites Val D Lsere, who by now needs no introduction, and is out of one of our lead production dams who has never disappointed, Little Carmela. This makes him a full brother to: Red Granites Cinnamon (2019 AOA National Fleece Show Fawn Female Color Champion, 2020 AOA National Fawn Female Color Champion, multiple Judges’ Choice winners & auction high-seller who resides in Belgium), Red Granites Casper (2021 Futurity White Male Color Champion, 2020 AOA National Fleece Show White Male Reserve Color Champion & Fleece Judges’ Choice winner), and Red Granites Carmelita (Reserve Champion winner owned by Heather Glen Alpacas). The proof is in the progeny folks!!! We highly encourage you to take a deep dive into the maternal side of this males pedigree because it isn’t every day a foundation females samples champion winning progeny each time she is bred… Colo Lsere has taken on the family tradition, following in his sibling's footsteps. As a juvenile he has an impressive show record having won 3 Championships (throughout halter and walking fleece), this also includes his ever-so-impressive win at the 2023 AOA National White Male Color Champion in a class of 29 white males under Wade Gease, an incredible accomplishment for a juvenile!! He continued his success in fleece shows. At the 2024 IFA PNAA Show he won the Grade 1 White Reserve Color Champion banner with great comments from the judge! He has been called a “fleece monster” with “extraordinary fineness and uniformity” and “superior fleece rate growth for age”. You truly have to get your hands on this male to care of his quality. Fiber and Fleece Description Colo Lsere has so much fleece packed onto his frame. Density galore with an extremely high-frequency fleece that carries through into his extremities. He has extreme brightness and a very soft handle to his fleece. To boot, he grows an impressive length of staple. Just an incredible fleece, ad it just keeps getting better. Colo Lsere will start breeding for us this Spring!
