Patagonia’s Chilkoot is a compact herdsire with long staple length, fine fleece, and bright, luscious fiber. He has a beautiful head and compact body. In 2014, Chilkoot was assessed by Senior Judge, Amanda VandenBosch as an “A-.“ He has consistency in micron as well as in color, large bones, and a gentle temperament. His sire is Patagonia’s Lennox, the ultimate Multi-Champion herdsire. His dam, Patagonia’s Augusta, is a top-line production dam on our ranch. Augusta is a 3x Color Champion and received Reserve Champion at AOBA. Augusta also won 6 blues ribbons in her show career (one being at The Futurity). FRA NUTMEG Nutmeg is a beautiful shiny reddish brown with a gorgeous face. Even her nose has a tremendous luster to it. Nutmeg is a caring, excellent mother. Nutmeg's last two crias have been grey when bred to black. Offspring: On 9/17/2007, Nutmeg had a beautiful light fawn female sired by Snowmass Silver Spirit. (Nicole's 2011 son was awarded Reserve Champion at the 2012 IAO, and brought home Blue ribbons from the 2012 GWAS and Futurity shows!) On July 3, 2010, Nutmeg presented us with a dark brown male CD ALP Eclipse cria. With Nutmeg and Eclipse, as parents, the little guy is bound to have wonderful features. CHIEF SOARING EAGLE won 2nd Place at the 2011 California Classic! On 9/9/2011, Nutmeg gave birth to a dark brown male cria, sired by Snowmass Rock Star XX. On 11/4/2012, Nutmeg had a beautiful medium brown female cria out of Multiple Champion NeverSummer's US Steel. On 8/1/2014, Nutmeg had a lovely bay black female cria sired by Andean's Pegasus. On 7/24/16, Nutmeg gave us a beautiful true black female sired by Patagonia’s Chilkoot.

Jay-Z is a gorgeous 12X Black Champion, with a bloodline comprised of incredible multi-champions. He is the son of 19X Champion, Sunset Hills Zagato, the 2019 Futurity Dark Huacaya Herdsire of the Year and 2019 Futurity Dark Mixed Get of Sire!! (As well as sire of the 2019 Futurity Judges Choice Huacaya Male, Alpaca Palace Zagato's Zumba!) In addition, Jay-Z's paternal grandsire is 382 Peruvian Zephyrus, a Full Peruvian, ½ Accoyo male with 10 Color Championship wins (including the 2002 AOBA National show, 2003 MAPACA, and 2003 PAOBA shows, as well as winning "Reserve Herdsire of the Year" at the 2005 All-American Futurity!) According to Amanda VanderBosch Jay-Z displays the phenotype and fleece characteristics we are all looking for and it's amazing the fineness he is retaining at 42 months of age when she awarded him Black Color Champion at the 2021 Buckeye!
