UPDATE: There are several Granite crias on the ground now. He is producing amazing quality. Just love the greys and rose greys! **Check out his EPD'S** This gorgeous male is sound and well balanced conformationally. He has excellent bone density and a fully covered upright frame. A beautiful head shape with a wide poll, correct bite, and an extremely calm temperament. His fleece is deeply uniform, easily parted, super bright, ultra-fine, yet has a high fleece weight and long staple length. His sire is none other than Snowmass Silver Signature and his dam Chloe, still maintaining a 19 micron fleece at age 9, is from the Royal Fawn line. Granite himself is still 19 microns at 7 years!!!! Fantastic, especially in grey. The total package in silver grey! We can't wait to see what these genetics do for our grey breeding program! Thank you to Salt Creek Alpacas Inc for letting us to bring these new grey genetics to Canada! We love him!!!

Shadow was born as a LF and to our suprise, turned out light silver grey! Her dam Sierra has consistently produced some of our best crias and Shadow is no exception. This female has good conformation and her fleece shows great density, good fineness and a tight crimp on a long staple. Shadow has a completely uniform LSG blanket (no spots) and she has darker extremities which is reminiscent of her paternal harlequin grand-dam J-Lynn. We have always wondered if she could have inherited that harlequin gene on top of the classic gene which would explain her total shift in fleece colour around the age of 7 to 8 months old. Unfortunately, genotyping cannot help in determine if she is carrying the harley gene but one thing is for sure, she definitely will be producing some classic greys. We look forward to working with this female for many years to come!
