Grazing Hills Bradford - 16.9 4th Shearing!!

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 32173253DOB: 6/26/201014 yrs
This son of Accoyo America Diomedes has matured into stunning young male with a WOW! fleece. He marks a first for our herd with his 4th blanket boasting a 16.9 micron AFD...we love Bradford!! He is a gentle guy, and like his sire, a VERY eager breeder; as you can imagine, once we got a look at his first cria, (see photo) he is getting more opportunities. Bradford's older brother, Parker, sold to the UK, and his younger brother, The Fawn Factor, has also been sold. We are thankful we kept him in our breeding program. Bradford appeared very ready to breed at two, and he finally got his chance. Since we needed to prove several young males, he only had the one opportunity, but she took in a single breeding; the resultant cria arrived on Father's Day this year, and oh, my, is he ever gorgeous! We sheared him at a week...the cria fleece was super fine, and he literally glowed afterward. He is darker than either dam or sire, very uniform in color except for a tiny black spot on one cheek. The following year, 2015, he threw a beautiful beige girl, Nevaeh. Her name is Heaven, spelled backwards, and that's just what she is! GRAZING HILLS CASPER'S CHARISMA

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Fawn
AOA# 1220803DOB: 6/4/200618 yrs
Charisma's first cria, Dimitri, maintained amazing 2nd year fleece stats of 15.1 AFD with an SD of 3.5! We love that production!! Dimitri has been sold to the UK, but he was here for his third shearing, and that fleece tested at 17.3 AFD, 3.5 SD...and this was after starting his breeding career...he is one fine, beautiful boy! Charisma gave us a medium fawn female that sold to Canada - a full sister to Dimitri. A third breeding to Diomedes gave us another male, and he is one we are watching very closely for his breeding potential. Charisma has a lovely fleece... fine, super bright - she shines from a distance - lots of crimp and length. Charisma's second fleece came in much more dense than her first, and we are quite sure she would have done better in the ring as a yearling. However, she was ready to breed at 15 months, and we opted to go that route vs. showing her again. in 2014, Charisma was bred to Grazing Hills Bradford, a MF Diomedes boy. We got our beautiful Nevaeh, a beige with great density. in 2015 and 2017, we bred Charisma to our King Hezekiah, a LF. The result was a beautiful dark fawn female, like her mom! She was born on July 4th, 2016 and she became our Grazing Hills Liberty. We were so impressed with the density and conformation, that we re-bred Charisma to Hezekiah again. This time she had a male, name Cruz. He is a cute little Jr. Herdsire who is the same color as him mom. In 2018 we bred her to one of our herd sires, Mr. Perfect. She delivered a beautiful light fawn girl who we named Charlotte. She is currently not bred.

Description

Nevaeh is heaven, spelled backwards! Her fleece is like heaven, with crimp, luster, and density throughout. A great conformation and nice leg coverage on all 4. Since we are looking to downsize our herd, we aren't doing any outside breedings at this time. She will be bred in Spring 2019. 2018 Histogram: AFD: 19.8 SD: 5.0 CV: 25.1 %>30: 3.4 2017 Histogram: AFD: 18.9 SD: 4.5 CV: 23.7 %>30: 1.5 2016 Histogram: AFD: 20 SD: 4 CV: 20 %>30: 1
