Sired by the now deceased El Nino (one of Accoyo Caligula's best offspring. El Nino was the 2004 AOBA Get of Sire, and was the 2005 Light Futurity Herdsire of the Year!). With El Nino's recent passing, Michelangelo has become one of his most prepotent progeny! To lose such a legendary macho in his prime makes the genetics of his top offspring even more critical to a well thought out serious breeding program.
Michelangelo has that extremely dense fine high amplitude crimp, and an incredibly even "peach colored" fawn fleece.
In late 2005 Dr. Norm Evans did a skin biopsy of this spectacular male, and he had a follicle density of an amazing 115 follicles/mm! (Post-calibration results were adjusted to 107 follicles/mm) His S/P ratio was an astounding 13.28/1! These are still unheard of statistics, and he PASSES THEM ON!
Michelangelo will be at Lakada Farm from mid-April until he leaves for the 2011 AOBA National Auction..where he will be allowed to enter a new era..with a new breeding program as his home~! Cordera is a pristine FULL ACCOYO ribbon winning female with genetics that are loaded up with alpacas that are multi champions that have made multi champions – proving these genetics are ponent and passed along! On top of them being an elite list of ACCOYOS, they are also ones that have covered COLOR (Royal Fawn, Mariah, Augusto, Arctic)!!
Cordera was sired by SA Accoyo Royal Avenger, a 9x Blue and 3x Banner winner who stood stud at Stachowski Alpacas for many years. He comes from Accoyo Import parents, sire being the world famous PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, a medium fawn male who has produced so many high end offspring – too many to count, including several herdsires who put many farms on the map. Royal Fawn sold for a whopping $600,000!
Cordera’s dam is AW Accoyo Miss Snuggles, the very best female Lakada Alpacas has ever owned! She is a stellar PPeruvian Augusto daughter. She captured 6 blues and 6 banners. She was awarded in 2005 the AOBA “Best Fleece” winner!! No surprise, she consistently received banners for “Best Crimp” “Best Brightness” and “Best Handle.” Miss Snuggles has gone on to produce all show winners, including JLFA Michelangelo’s Accoyo Sistina, very possibly the VERY BEST white Accoyo Female EVER! She has a show record of 11 blues (including 1st at AOBA Nationals) and 9 Banners!!!
Cordera is a very special Full Accoyo with amazing tight crimp, difficult to achieve with the full Accoyos. She has wonderful density, brightness, coverage, square and balanced frame, heavy bone, etc. We bred her to our legendary El Nino’s Accoyo Michelangelo, a multi champion who makes multi champions and covers color. He is a one of a kind that will enhance and improve upon all of the wonderful things Cordera already brings to the table.
