Buck got his name because he is the last cria that we will have from Show Me the Money. As you might know the Milius' tried to name any cria that Mo sired with a money theme – The Buck Stops Here just seem so appropriate. They started showing him when he was a yearling; at Fall Festival 2010 he earned First place from Jude Anderson. GWAS 2011 in the halter show he earned Third place and in the fleece show he was awarded First place and Reserve Color Champion. His fleece went to CABA and again he was awarded First place and Reserve Color Champion. The final show of the year for his fleece was AOBA Nationals and he earned Third place. Buck is a compact male that is very pleasing to view. He has a very heavy top knot that gives you a very good indication of the density of his fleece. His blanket color is uniformly bay black but he has white socks and white on his muzzle. The comments on the fleece card have been: “Wonderfully fine, soft, dense, bright fleece – highly aligned throughout!!” The bloodlines on this guy are rather impressive - on the sire’s side there is PPPeruvian Royal Fawn and Snowmass Jericho’s Conquistador on the dam’s side. Buck started breeding in 2012 and we have been nothing but impressed by his cria. His latest, AVR Nicholas, just won 1st place at Fall Fest in Bred and Owned! We are currently looking to trade Buck for another herdsire with different genetics and equal quality.

Brown Sugar is a light brown female with an impressive stature. She is a large boned, well built girl with striking conformation; her upright stance makes sure that you notice her. The character of the fleece is high frequency with low amplitude crimp. She has great genetics, coming from PPeruvian Caligula and PPeruvian Vengador. Her dam is Hallelujah, who was one of our best. Brown Sugar gave birth to a beautiful medium fawn male in June 2014 sired by AVR The Buck Stops Here. Her son placed 1st in 2015 Fall Festival Bred and Owned halter. Transportation within 50 miles of Alpaca Vista Ranch included.

Description

Nicholas is the Son of AVR The Buck Stops Here and boy did he get some amazing characteristic from his sire. He has bright, beautiful, crimpy, soft fleece with a staple length to die for. Nicholas started showing at GWAS 2015 in the bred and owned halter category. He took 5th place in a very large group with only white animals above him. He was said to be true to type and well proportioned along with that wonderful staple length. At Fall Fest 2015 he really showed his stuff taking 1st place in bred and owned halter. We would love to keep Nicholas, but he is related to almost every female we have. You would be getting a steal with him. Alpaca Vista Ranch will provide transportation within 50 miles of our location.
