This full Peruvian Suri has produced more Champion alpacas than any other alpaca herd sire in the world. He is truly amazing!!!! At the 2003 AAA Futurity Macgyver ‘s offspring placed in 20 classes making him the 2003 “ Herd Sire of The Year”. In 2004 his offspring placed in even more classes than the previous year. He again became the” Herd Sire Of The Year” for the 2nd time. In 2005 he did it again and made history. No other alpaca male has ever won “Herd Sire Of The Year” 3 times . In 2006, guess what? Again Macgyver was the clear winner making him “Herd Sire Of The Year” 4 times. In 2007,2008 and 2009 we are in awe! For the 5th,6th and 7th time, Macgyver, won “Herd Sire Of The Year”. Rag Top was hand-picked for importation by the Tillmans in Bolivia and was sire to over 70 offspring, including the outstanding herdsires Harry Brown, Lumino, Red Lightning and Bolivian Wildfire. Rag Top is grandsire to Captain Morgan, 2005 and 2006 Suri Reserve Herdsire of the Year.
Chantilly's fleece took a First place banner at the 2002 AOBA National show. Her crias have won multiple show banners including second places at AOA Nationals and GWAS. She has consistenly thrown top of the line color crias. <--description-->
Description
At 14 years of age, this female is still strutting her stuff. Treasure is the daughter of the famous herdsire, DDF Peruvian MacGyver, and she continues to display her sire's great locks, luster and uniformity. Treasure has maintained good fineness in her latter years. She is a strong boned female and she has an incredibly gentle personality. Treasure is the sweetheart of our farm, a real love. She is a farm favorite and has a forever home at Big Timber Alpacas.
Her color genetics on both her sire and dam side pass through in her offspring. Treasure has always thrown color when bred to color and she produces amazing white offspring as well.
Treasure's show record speaks for itself with second and fourth place wins in very competitive white suri classes across the country. She has proven to produce banner winning crias as well. Three of her four offspring are blue ribbon winners.
Treasure is a very attentive mom with good milk production, resulting in great cria growth. In 2015, Treasure gave birth to one of the last Chachapoya offspring, AChaCha. Chachapoya passed away in 2015, but his legacy lives on in this stunning white female, who has very fine fleece and full coverage from nose to toe. AChaCha has top density and fineness traits per her 2017 biopsy report. A credit to the awesome genetics of her mom, Treasure.
