NWA, LTD Accoyo Mona

Mona is a large, beautiful, extremely finely fleeced animal. She takes her mothering very seriously. She has mothered two herdsires who reside at Southern Iowa Alpacas. Her 2006 male may very well become a herdsire also. In May '07 she produced a very fine, crimpy female named Camellia that we are very impressed with. All of Mona's cria exhibit fineness (she herself was a 20.8 micron at 6 yrs!)great coverage, brightness, big-boned square large frame, very nice bite and density. We bred Mona to our stud Adonis this year. It may seem strange to some not to breed a full accoyo to another but Adonis' maternal side is heavy on the Alianza line and Adonis just makes extreme babies and this combo should produce a stunning 1/2 accoyo. They did! Check out the BB girl Amelia. Mona would be considered for sale to a farm that has a more climate controlled situation than we do here in the great north! We love Mona and she has produced well for us. However, she would appreciate a little more winter warmth as she is 12 yrs old with just a touch of arthritis in one hind leg.

Service Sire: JJA Impeccable's Preacher

Color Champion at 10 mths!

JJA Impeccable's Preacher

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black

Preacher is currently off the sale list as his sire Impeccable passed away and his brother Impeccable's Ignite is sold. Would consider 1/2 interest to a regional farm. Would love to see him bred to more black and grey. Check out this guys show record and the males he went up against. Many shows were combined black classes too. Then look at his sire PHA Accoyo Impeccable on our listings and see how many top awards he won even though he missed out on his juvey year of showing. We have used his full-accoyo sire more than him because he is related to many of our girls. However, his maternal grandsire Silver Bugatti genetics was wanted in our herd. His Great uncle Royal Adonis is who made most of our quality darks so it will be difficult to use him on as many as we wish. This male was much anticipated since we recently sold his full brother who is a lrg. Preacher has amazingly dense fleece, microbundles of very black super crimpy fiber with great luster. His color background is black, grey and the fawns and white that are also there consistently throw color. Icing on the cake for this guy is that he is 5/8th Accoyo. His sire is a 7 x champion and 14 x blue ribbon winner. His dam was a multiple first place winning msg dam with Bugatti as a maternal grandsire and his 1/2 Accoyo TB granddam is a Goldsmith daughter and 4 Peruvian Black Magic granddaughter. Black Magic was known for throwing fineness and grey and black easily. Impeccable loves to make black and grey offspring with quality fleece traits. We expect even more from Preacher. I admit, that I screwed up here. His maternal side leaves too many relatives to breed to enough here. I tried to find a midwest co-owner but that soured me on partnerships. At 8 yrs old, this guy has so many years to make those champion offspring for you. His genetics are amazing! His show record is amazing-especially considering we can't travel to a large amount of shows annually. I am having to make hard decisions to lesson the work load here with so many awesome males and females. This guy throws black when bred to black and grey most of the time. Unfortunately here, the first or 2nd generation is usually related to him when it's a dark female since his grandma was our first born on the farm female and TB.

Description

We love the large accoyo frames that enable easier carrying of that cria and the milk production is fabulous in our girls out of El Moustachio, Leon & Velerio. Just like her dam and granddam, Camey is nicely proportioned with great coverage, shiny long staple of high frequency, medium amplitude fleece. Camey is so easy to handle and she has what horse folks referr to as soft eyes. I love this girls temperment and how she puts out color and fantastic builds and fleece on EVERY offspring. Camellia's sire Velerio, is from Canadian lines. His sire, P3 White Lightning has been in Australia for years so there is less chance of cross-overs when selecting her future Accoyo service sires. Camey now has 6 offspring:mf female from mf sire, wh male from mf sire, mb female from bb sire and white from Impeccable which was not his normal coloring. That girl, Porshe was 24lbs at birth! Camey had her 5th cria, Bombay who is a full accoyo from our stud Bono. She was also 24 lbs. I planned this white cria for great fiber for my dyeing projects. She would have been show worthy but she is quite the pigpen. Another 24 lb vibrant girl Celeste (Celestial Eclipse-born on the total eclipse of the sun)sire by Impeccable. Camey got a sore on her tongue which caused some big weight loss during a time we wanted to rebreed her but she needed some tlc instead. Back to normal and looking forward to breeding her to the perfect male in 2019. She had a breech birth of a stillborn in 2020. She will be staying on farm as she needs chopped hay and senior pellets due to molars being filed too low. No more cria because of weight being harder to maintain.
