Sherazad's fleece is crimpy and dense in a jet black color. "Sheh" has a colorful background, with gray alpacas on both the dam and sire's side, including The Silversmith. She has reproduced her beautiful true black color when bred to black and light brown. You can see her 2003 cria Paladin, 2007 cria Sharyn, and 2008 cria Storm Cloud (sold) on our farm site. All share their mother's lovely black color. Her 2009 cria, Liberte (sold), is a beautiful, strong, bay black boy from our gray herdsire FG Gryffyn. Gryffyn has wonderful staple length, consistent color, and incredibly fine fiber {2008 AFD: 21.2, CV: 17.3%}. We liked how Liberte turned out so well that we rebred Sheh to Gryffyn for a Nov 2010 cria. They produced a lovely gray girl named Shareen on Nov 3, 2010. Sheh is a wonderful mother and would be a great alpaca for any new farm, or addition to any existing herd. Sheh sells bred to Gryffyn for a May 2012 cria and with an additional breeding in 2012 to any Peaceful Heart Alpacas herdsire. We highly recommend Gryffyn, but have several other excellent boys from which to choose.

Gryffyn is a beautiful two toned Silver Gray alpaca with incredible fleece. He has wonderful staple length and fleece you just want to sink into. We have been thrilled with the fineness he has been passing on to his crias. His 2010 cria Hyppogryff had an AFD of 16.4 at 10 months of age. So far in breeding him to black, we have gotten two gray and one black cria and they all are lovely. His beautiful black cria Liberte sold as soon as he was weaned. The two grays are especially striking alpacas in their markings and both have quickly become farm favorites. Description

The beauty of Sharyn’s fleece is in the color. Like her mother, she has a rich, shiny black fleece with nice crimp. Sharyn also has wonderful conformation and a sturdy frame. She has proven to be a great mother, just like her dam. She is a sweetly shy girl who is a joy to work with. Sharyn was bred to fabulous gray herdsire FG Gryffyn because of the great potential of the combination of their gray backgrounds and Gryffyn’s incredibly fine fleece. Their award winning male cria Hyppogryff, born July 2010, is a lovely gray boy with great fleece (AFD: 16.4 microns at 10 months, 19.0 microns at 22 months), conformation and an adorable personality. Hyppogryff turned out so lovely, that we repeated the breeding for her 2012 cria, a beautiful bay black boy named Gryffyndor. He has just a hint of gray on his hip to show his gray heritage and potential to pass on his color background. Sharyn sells with her male cria, Gryffyndor. She is currently open, and sells with a breeding to any Peaceful Heart Alpacas herdsire this fall. Sharyn and Gryffyndor are also available as part of a package with another mother and cria.
