We were looking for a proven true black herd sire that would continue to represent the high standards of our breeding program to outside females in addition to having a male who would improve the genetic qualities of our own black foundation females. The mark of a great herd sire is the ability to reproduce himself while letting the genetic qualites of the dam come through. Sparticus does this by imprinting his gentle disposition, great head, lusterous, dense, consistant fiber and perfect conformation on all his offspring. If these are the qualities that you are breeding for, and they should be, then you need to see Sparticus and his progeny in person and introduce your females to this beautiful male. We are pleased to announce our recent partnership with our good friends Susanne Thatcher and Sherri Thatcher-Harshman of Sunburst Alpacas in Cortland, Ohio, in this striking TRUE BLACK male, MFI Sparticus. Sparticus is available for breeding at either farm and can be ready for your girls with as little as 2 days notice. This eliminates the scheduling problems that are often associated with co-owned males. Boarding and mobile breedings are also available for a nominal fee. VISA, MasterCard and Discover accepted.

When looking over the qualities that a female alpaca needs to have to be considered a "foundation female" you can easily separate the great ones from the good ones. Misty is a GREAT foundation female and without a doubt the favorite alpaca on our farm. We have owned her since she was 7 months old and to date she has given us 4 exceptional black cria - 3 females and most recently her first male. All four of these offspring have ribboned in the show ring with two of her females being blue ribbon winners! She imprints her laid back, easy going disposition on all her offspring and is truly an asset to our breeding program and an animal that has given us many hours of enjoyment.

Description

Four Points Pepper Jack is a beautiful non-fading true black and is a very laid back alpaca, just as his dam and sire having the same easy going disposition. When we hold him to examine his wonderful fiber, he lets us go over him from head to toe and doesn't move. He is dense and fine with a tight crimp style and nice bundling. When you open his fleece it shines back at you. This little guy has the goods. Pepper's first show was the Northeast Alpaca Expo, May 1 & 2, 2010, where he placed 6th, was the youngest in his class, and did this while still in his cria fleece. **NOTE** Four Points Pepper Jack is now ready to enter the career field of breeding!
